The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health is offering free spirometry posters and guides in the Clinicians Center in the Exhibit Hall. Both are intended to help improve the quality of spirometry testing. The poster shows graphic examples and descriptive text to enable users to deal with common spirometry testing problems. The guide provides examples and information on how to identify and correct common spirometry errors, how they influence tests results and how they potentially can be misinterpretated.

This year, World Spirometry Day (WSD) coincides with the opening of the Olympic Games June 27 in London. Learn more during informal discussion sessions at the Clinicians Center with WSD leaders. These leaders have experience organizing events for healthcare professionals seeking to perform better spirometries. They will be available from 1 to 1:45 p.m. today.
