Merck official advocates collaboration between academia, industry

While those in academia and industry seek to ameliorate disease, the relationship between the two can be tenuous.

Be sure to attend Industry Theaters and Mini-Theaters

Have lunch while listening to the latest clinical updates from supporting companies related to pulmonary, critical care or sleep medicine. Daily Industry Theaters and Mini-Theaters are available today in the Exhibit Hall. All include a complimentary boxed lunch provided by ATS (while quantities last).

Call for input ATS 2013

The American Thoracic Society’s 2013 International Conference will be held May 17-22, in Philadelphia. Planning for the conference is underway, and the ATS is seeking input for the scientific/medical program in all areas of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine.

Pick up free NIOSH spirometry materials

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health is offering free spirometry posters and guides in the Clinicians Center in the Exhibit Hall. Both are intended to help improve the quality of spirometry testing.

New grants available for PH research

The ATS Foundation is pleased to offer three new awards in pulmonary hypertension.

Take in Non-CME Industry Symposia

The ATS encourages Non-CME Industry Symposia in conjunction with the International Conference. All full-conference participants are encouraged to attend these programs.
