Looking to Launch or Transition into a New Career?

Visit the Center for Career Development for Expert Advice and Presentations
The Center for Career Development is a networking and career development forum for physicians and other health care professionals in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine who are in training, transition, or post-fellowship. Topics slated for presentation include industry, private practice, clinician educator, and physician scientist careers; negotiating a private practice contract; landing a job after training; being a mentee and a mentor; life after post-doctoral training and after assistant professorship; and writing and publishing papers. Highlights include this morning’s 2013 Resident Development Scholarship Ceremony and the Tuesday afternoon National Institutes of Health presentation “Applying to the NIH Loan Repayment Program.”

Among the resources available are copies of the Road Map for Professionals in Transition and Training, which highlights sessions of interest to fellows and members of the interdisciplinary team; the Grant Resource Guide; and the Society’s Consider This! brochure.

The Center for Career Development in Hall C (200 Level) Pennsylvania Convention Center will open at 7 a.m. with light complimentary breakfast and host receptions with complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. today to Tuesday.
