In two sessions today, fellows and junior faculty will present unique cases before experts in their respective fields. The first will be the “Fellows Case Conference” from 8:45 to 10:45 a.m., which will be followed by “Great Cases: Clinical, Radiologic, and Pathologic Correlations by Master Physicians” from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Both will be in 20 B-C (Upper Level) San Diego Convention Center.

The ATS encourages Non-CME Industry Symposia in conjunction with the International Conference. All full-conference participants are encouraged to attend these programs.
Symposium to Look at State of the Art in Lung Microbiome
Recent advances in the understanding of microbial communities and their roles in respiratory health and disease have brought new light to the lung microbiome. The symposium “The Lung Microbiome in 2014: State of the Art and Science,” from 2 to 4:30 p.m. today in 5 A-B (Upper Level) San Diego Convention Center, will look beyond the single pathogen-host paradigm.
ATS Extends a Warm Welcome to International Participants
With nearly half of all ATS International Conference attendees coming from outside the U.S., this gathering truly represents the international perspective. And for international participants like Daniel Obaseki, MD, MPH, the conference provides a venue to gain knowledge about research best practices, collaborate with experts, seek guidance from mentors, and develop leadership skills.
Faculty Reminded of COI Disclosure
In addition to completing a preconference disclosure questionnaire, the ATS requires that all faculty members speaking at CME-accredited International Conference sessions prepare and show conflict of interest disclosure slides at the beginning of their presentations.
