“It is important that the ATS Journals have a dynamic presence at our Society’s annual conference, and a symposium such as this provides a forum for the Journal to present some of the outstanding research published in the Journal which should be of interest to our trainees, physician/scientists, clinicians, and the whole spectrum of ATS attendees,” Dr. Sznajder says.

The presentations, which will be published in the AJRCCM in May, reflect three topics relevant to the fields of asthma, sepsis, and traffic-related air pollution.

With a series of three reviews from The Lancet and The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, cutting-edge information will be provided on the latest advances in asthma genetics and personalized treatment, effects of air pollution, and treatment and prognosis of preschool wheeze.

“Attendees will be updated on the latest research in the field and be able to apply that knowledge to their understanding of asthma and their daily practice in the clinic,” Dr. Kleinert says.
