New to the ATS International Conference this year is the Job Recruitment Center, which is located in the Exhibit Hall. Job seekers can meet with recruiters seeking candidates for open positions or they can search more than 100 available positions in pulmonary, critical care or sleep medicine on the ATS Job Board online. Employers are able to post a job on the ATS Job Board or on the bulletin board located in the center.

“The Job Recruitment Center allows attendees interested in a new career path or searching for their first job to come to one place to speak with recruiters from hospitals, medical centers or health systems about the career opportunities available,” said Stacy Blackshaw, ATS exhibit sales manager.

Recently, the ATS joined the National Healthcare Career Network (NHCN), a consortium of medical associations, including the American Medical Colleges and the American Hospital Association. The NHCN has approximately 170 medical associations and healthcare groups, and Lauren Dunn, ATS member services manager, said it provides an additional reach for potential job seekers and employers.

“Before we changed job board providers, we had about 40 jobs in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. With our partnership with the NHCN, our job board now has more than 100 jobs available,” she said.

In addition, interested employers now have the option of posting positions only to the ATS job board or posting through the network, which incorporates the various boards associated with NHCN. The NHCN also provides easy online management of job postings, a searchable resume database and automatic e-mail notifications.

The Job Recruitment Center is open during Exhibit Hall hours only, and interviews will be conducted on-site.
