Located on the high plains base of the Rocky Mountains, Denver is one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S. While the area is world famous for snow skiing, Denver boasts 300 days of sunshine a year. It’s a lively city whose residents have a great love of the outdoors.

Visit historic locales, walk among picture-perfect scenery or taste area wines at one of ATS’s tours and activities, which will take place today through Wednesday.

5K Lung Run & Walk
Sunday, 6:30 to 8 a.m.
$30 per person

Join the 2011 5K Lung Run & Walk in the heart of downtown at Cuernavaca Park, which is complete with spectacular views of the city, as well as the Rocky Mountains. All participants will receive an official 5K t-shirt and refreshments. Awards will be given to the top finishers. Go to the ATS Tours/5K Lung Run booth in Lobby A-F of the Colorado Convention Center to sign up.

Grand Georgetown
Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
$88 per adult, $82 per child

A tour of this mountain town will include a visit to the Hotel de Paris, free time in historic Georgetown and a ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad. Tour includes transportation, guide, admissions, bottled water and a snack, as well as moderate walking.

LoDo Ghost Tour
Sunday, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
$42 per adult, $37 per child

This walking tour of Lower Downtown (LoDo) will include historic haunts such as the Oxford Hotel, Union Station and more. Tour includes guide, bottled water and a snack. This is entirely a walking tour. No transportation will be provided.

A D’Vine Experience
Sunday, 4 to 6 p.m.
$58 per adult

Whether you’re a novice or connoisseur, you will enjoy a private wine tasting at D’Vine Winery during this evening tour in downtown Denver. Tour includes host, wine tasting experience and light snacks. Guests are responsible for their transportation to D’Vine.

Welcome to the Mile High City

Starting with a drive through Denver’s downtown, this tour includes an exterior visit of the Capitol building, as well as an interior exploration of the Brown Palace Hotel. Tour includes transportation, guide, admissions, bottled water and a snack, as well as moderate walking.

The Sweet Life
Monday, 1 to 5 p.m.
$55 per adult

Experience the “sweet” life of Colorado with a visit to Hammond’s Candies, followed by a tasting at Balistreri Vineyards. Tour includes transportation, guide, admissions, candy samples, wine tasting experience, light snack at Balistreri, bottled water and a snack on the motorcoach, as well as light walking.

Rocky Mountain High
Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
$95 per adult

A scenic drive to Estes Park will offer a tour of the historic Stanley Hotel, free time to shop and dine in this quaint town, and a memorable venture into Rocky Mountain National Park. Tour includes transportation, guide, admissions, bottled water and a snack, as well as moderate walking.

Bear Creek Bike Tour
Wednesday, 8 a.m. to noon
$72 per adult

Experience Colorado’s outdoors with a scenic tour along the primarily downhill and flat Bear Creek bike path. Tour includes transportation, bike tour guide, equipment and bottled water.
