ATS Discoveries Series Today: Lung Regeneration, TB

Today’s Discoveries Series lectures will cover lung regeneration and tuberculosis. The lectures, which will chart seminal clinical and scientific breakthroughs, will be given concurrently from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. The Discoveries Series is presented in celebration of the American Thoracic Society’s 110th anniversary.

Nursing Assembly Expands Sessions, Adds Workshop, Offers Contact Hours

The Nursing Assembly has added a nursing skills workshop, expanded sessions from years past, and, for the first time, attendees will receive credit where credit is due: 20-plus sessions will offer nursing contact hours for continuing education credit.

ATS Foundation Honors Legend in Pulmonary Medicine

Attendees will have a chance to choose from 50 Sunrise Seminars, which run a gamut of issues facing specialists in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine, and are offered from 7 to 8 a.m. Monday, May 20; Tuesday, May 21; and Wednesday, May 22.

Too busy to attend all of ATS 2013? For the first time, the ATS is offering the Weekend Special: Take one postgraduate course on Saturday, May 18, and then attend the regular Sunday, May 19, sessions of interest, including clinical core sessions that have been submitted for Maintenance of Certification credits or points, the Year in Review session, and sessions on clinical trials presented by government agencies and other external organizations.
