Thanks to a generous educational grant from Genentech, the underwriting supporter of the 2012 ATS Fellows Track Symposium, the Society will offer selected first-, second- and third-year fellows from U.S. training programs awards to travel to this year’s International Conference. Additional educational support has been provided by Actelion Pharmaceuticals US, Inc., and in-kind support has been provided by SonoSite, Inc.

The invitation-based program is designed to help those at the beginning of their careers stay abreast of the latest scientific and clinical advances in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine by orienting them to the ATS International Conference’s many offerings.

On Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19, a host of clinical and scientific experts will be on hand to provide content background on major sessions and topics to be covered over the course of the meeting’s remaining four days.

In total, there will be 21 faculty members, each of whom will discuss a specific aspect of adult and pediatric pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine.

“We are very grateful to Genentech for once again taking a leadership position in their continued support of the Fellows Track Symposium,” said ATS President Nicholas S. Hill, MD. “This program is very important to the Society because it helps the ATS build a foundation of future leaders in the fields of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine.”
