ATS 2015 will feature sessions and exhibitors who will share how you may improve your career prospects.

During ATS 2015, attendees have many opportunities to advance their careers, whether it’s networking at events or catching a session at the Center for Career Development. The ATS Exhibit Hall also serves as a great resource to help you boost your career by exploring new options and improving your workflow.

The designated Career Area in the Exhibit Hall will feature six recruiters.

Blank Children’s Hospital in Booth 1523 offers opportunities to practice in this 96-bed full-service tertiary care facility in Des Moines, Iowa. The children’s hospital has a 24-hour emergency department, ACGME pediatric residency program, and 40 specialists on its teaching staff. 

Gundersen Health System in Booth 1738 has been named a Top 100 organization. The organization offers top-quality primary and specialty health care usually found only in larger metropolitan areas. It is anchored by a large multi-specialty group practice linking the system with regional clinics and affiliated hospitals via telemedicine, distance learning, digital imaging, and other services. Based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the group serves western Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, and northeastern Iowa.

ICC Healthcare (Intensive Care Consortium) in Booth 1732 has more than 60 physicians staffing programs in 15 hospital ICUs in Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and New Jersey. Jackson & Coker in Booth 1527 will help you learn about the organization’s flexibility and service that makes it convenient to work locum tenens. Jackson & Coker’s credentialing department, privileging assistance, and travel coordinators handle all the details.

National Jewish Health in Booth 1733 was founded 116 years ago as a nonprofit hospital, and today it is a clinical, research, and educational facility that is known worldwide for treatment of patients with respiratory, cardiac, immune, and related disorders.

PracticeLink, the Career Advancement Resource for Physicians, in Booth 1149, will discuss new job search workshops and job fairs that are rolling out in cities across the U.S. in 2015. PracticeLink’s Career Advancement Workshop and Job Fair events include the one-hour informative workshop “When To Do What in Your Job Search”; a physician job fair; and networking opportunities with food and beverages. PracticeLink’s workshops include a panel of expert in-house recruiters who cover topics such as curriculum vitae tips; preparing for a site visit; Federation Credentials Verification Service licensing and credentialing; and questions to ask during the interview process. Experts will outline a timeline to help navigate a job search smoothly. In-house recruiters from hospitals, private practices, and medical groups from across the U.S. also attend those events, which are free of charge. ATS attendees will be able to view a list of participating locations and RSVP in PracticeLink’s booth.
